Breckenridge, Colorado is one of the prettiest places I've ever been. It is the epitome of a picturesque mountain village!

Koa has a campground in Estes Park which is right by the Rockie Mountain National Park. They have Nice, clean, and afforadble cabins.

YMCA of the Rockies near Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park. It's been featured in lots of magazines for traveling with families.

Check out this link for a great place in Boulder, right at the foot of the Flatirons. Boulder offers everything - wilderness, restaurants, entertainment, a great downtown, close to Denver, fantastic scenery, hiking/biking, etc. Chautauqua has cabins to rent.
