Will be visiting in June and was wondering where to stay? Is there a part of town to stay away from?

Stay away from Commerce City (smelly industrial area), and the northern suburbs (Arvada, Thornton, etc.) weren't the greatest.
South and southwest areas were always pretty cool - newer and nicer part of the city. Boulder might be pretty cool, too, if you don't mind a college town.
