A couple of months ago I took my girlfriend to Chicago for the day. (We live in KC). I was thinking of doing a trip to Denver, but I have never been and don't know anyone there (unlike Chicago). I was wondering of some fun things to do in the city for a random day trip. It would be during the week. Anything coming up in the next couple of months or just any places to check out in general?

If you want an adventure I would take her to the Royal Gorge for a full day rafting trip. The sights are INCREDIBLE and the rafting gets your adrenaline going. We use Performance Tours because they are safe and daring.

The Denver Botanical Gardens are gorgeous as well. Right now we have the King Tut exhibit going on. http://www.tutdenver.com/?gclid=CM3V-aejuaICFRNFgwodejKX6Q I can't wait to go see that one myself.

Another great thing to see would be Mount Evans. You can drive to the summit which is 14,240ft! It is the highest paved road in the nation. We drove there last week and it was truly amazing.

When you come here you should definitely experience the majesty of the Rockies. You can find a good Botanical Garden or a good ZOO in any state so try to experience what Colorado has that no one else does.
